Kamogaura Point
The coastline around Wajima has many interesting features. There is a calm inlet which is a popular spot for swimming in the summer. There are also many reefs of different sizes, which look like they are trying to protect the area from someone's invasion. Kamogaura Point is perhaps the most interesting scenic site. It is located on the northernmost tip of the same cape that forms Wajima Port. Kamogaura Point has an interesting white rock formation that was produced by coastal erosion. It is over 400 meters long from east to west. In winter you can see the well-known Nami-no-Hana here. This gives a poetic charm to the winter in Noto. (Nami-no-Hana, or Wave Flowers, are foamy masses of waves made by strong waves crashing onto the rocks on cold, windy days.)
