||Tasaki Shoichiro studied under the guidance of the Maki-e artist Ichigo Iccho and the Chinkin artists Harima Masao and Odawara Toshio. In 1959, he exhibited at the Japan Modern Crafts Artists Association Exhibition for the first time. In 1967, he received the Hokkoku Award in the Ishikawa Prefectural Modern Art Exhibition and the Mae Taiho Award in the Wajima City Art Exhibition. He also won the Tokyo Education Board Award at the 25th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 1978. In 1995, he won the NHK President's Award in the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition. He received the Order of the Purple Cordon in 1996. He is now a member of the Japan Crafts Association, a member of the Wajima Lacquer Technique Preservation Committee, and a lecturer at Ishikawa Prefectural Institute of Wajima Lacquer Arts.
He had contributed as an instructor at the Ishikawa Prefectural Institute of Wajima Lacquer Arts(an Important Intangible Cultural Property association).
