[A History of Mt. Hakusan]
This is the oldest history of the shrines of Mt. Hakusan and completed in the end of the Heian period (794 - 1191). This history is designated as a national important cultural property.
There are more than 3000 shrines originated from Mt. Hakusan, and this history has been copied by Dogen, the founder of the Sodo sect and others as a basic material describing the history of worshipping Mt. Hakusan and its nature.
