Ho-rai Festival
(in Tsurugi, October)
This is a festival of the Kinkengu shrine that has a history going as far back as about 800 years. Accompanying a ritual lion dance, a portable shrine and a gigantic paper warrior doll of about 5 meters in height and 1 ton in weight are conducted through the streets while onlookers greet the participants with shouts of welcome.
