Renchi-tei Garden
Detail[ Completion of Midori-taki Waterfall and Yugao-tei ]
There is an entry in Harunaga's diary about the creation of Midori-taki Waterfall. It states that in 1774, although the waterfall looked good, it had little water, and the sound it made was unsatisfactory. However, he seems to have been satisfied with the waterfall later, after its completion. One month after the waterfall was completed, a teahouse was built on the island in Hisago-ike Pond, and according to some documents, a large event was held to celebrate its opening. This teahouse is the present "Yugao-tei".
