"Sojiji Temple" Soin, the principle temple of the Soto sect.
The Soto sect has about 15,000 branch temples throughout Japan. It established the unique "Rinju System", which enables the chief priest of each branch temple to become the chief priest of the principle temple by rotation.

It is said that this "Rinju System" was enabled by sea transportation in Noto.

Kuroshima in Monzen, which was a port of call of the Kitamae ships, is said to have played the role of an external port. Thus Monzen was an entrance to Noto districts from the sea.
