Tokushima's sugar and indigo were shipped to the Kitamae Ships, and became popular all over the country. Awa Folk Dance People enjoy the Awa Folk Dance from August 12th to 15th every year. They dance to the music of Taiko, Kane, Shamisen, and the whistle. Tokushima City is filled with excitement during the festivities.
