Ebisu
Niigata Port opened in the fifth year of the Ansei era, when Japan entered into a treaty of commerce with the United States. Ebisu Port was designated as an auxiliary port for the Niigata Port. People enjoy "Sado-Okesa" dancing in the "Ryotsu Festival" in June.
Sado Okesa Folk Song
It is said that the origin of "Sado Okesa" was the "Haiya Folk Song" in Kyushu. It seemed sailors of the Kitamae Ships brought it back to Sado, and miners of Aikawa Kinzan started to sing when drinking sake.
