Monzen Town prospered as a temple town of "Soji-Ji (Soji Temple)", a head temple of Soto Zen Buddhism. Tenryo Kitamae Ships Museum in Monzen town displays models of the Kitamae Ships, and votive pictures of the ships dedicated to shrine.
Ishikawa Prefecture's Designated Cultural Property "Kuroshima Kadomi Family" was built using princely architecture, and tells about the prosperity and history of the Kitamae Ships.
