Miyakoshi was a home for the wealthy Zeniya Gohei. Zeniya Gohei Memorial Hall has a model of the Kitamae Ships and folding screens. Zenigo-no-Yakata, the house of Zeniya Gohei, has been reconstructed in a new place, across the garden.
Soy sauce produced in Ono was transported all over Japan by Kitama Ships, and Ono became one of the five biggest soy sauce producing spots.
