Biography Zeniya Gohei
Zeniya Gohei made a fortune in his lifetime. He owned more than 15 ships, traded with foreign countries as well as other parts of Japan, and started a marine transportation business with the Kaga Clan. However, the family members of Zeniya Gohei were suspected of poisoning Kahoku-gata (Kahoku Lagoon) around the reclamation project in Gohei's old age. He died in prison, and the Clan confiscated all assets owned by the family.
