Ishikawa Prefecture Vision for the Promotion of CultureTowards "Making a Land of Culture Open to the World"Ishikawa Prefecture established its Vision for the Promotion of Culture in March 1997, with the aim of creating and developing culture which will be internationally acclaimed for its uniqueness and charm. With the basic aim of its new long-range concept being to "become a prefecture with individuality, interpersonal exchange and peace of mind", Ishikawa Prefecture's vision is to become a "Land of Culture Open to the World". The three main objectives necessary to realize this vision are "the preservation and development of traditional culture", "the creation and transmission of new culture" and "the construction of cultural production systems". At present, we are developing various measures in accordance with these objectives, and we will work together with the public to realize them. |
